A bit late, but it was a great meeting. Especially nice to see Justin’s oral presentation on neuron functional testing in 3D culture.

Enjoyed my first in person WHS/SAWC Annual meeting in MD. Great experience. Glad to see Justin presenting.

Finally! We had a lab photo with everyone in it. That lasted for a few weeks at least. Thanks to my fantastic lab!

So proud of Rachel Warwar, MD who presented her thesis work at ASRM! Now to finish the work. So happy to be collaborating with her and Suruchi Thakore, MD from UC’s Gynecology and Obstetrics team.

An excellent conference put on by the graduate students at Vanderbilt. Great science and networking. Represented University of Cincinnati along with John Martin and his crew.

A bit late, but still worth it! Connected with old friends and met some new potential collaborators. A good, quick trip to San Antonio. Got to spend time with some of the wonderful women in the department!

October went by quickly! Lots of conferences that I’ll update on. First was BMES where I was able to present data on our uterine fibroid research regarding mechanical forces. Next, Rachel Warwar, MD, presented her research on cyclic stretch and uterine fibroid cells. Finally, a trip to Vanderbilt Biomaterials Day where I gave a talk on our innervated skin project. Looking forward to my students getting out and presenting and publishing more!

Proud of Carolyn for her poster presentation at TERMIS 2022. First conference, won’t be her last. Congrats!

Proud to be a recipient of one of UC’s Collaborative Pilot Grants for our research developing a scaffold to promote innervation. My collaborators include Drs. Steve Davidson, Greg Harris, and Dorothy Supp, an amazing group to work with.
